Two Weeks - One Man Band

All That Remains is having a contest where people upload videos of them playing their rock band songs. This is my format of a One Man Band video of this song. This is me playing the Guitar, Bass, Vocals, and Drum parts on expert, and splicing them together with some effects.
In videos I’ve done this in the past with, I usually get 100% on everything. However, the ATR songs on rock band have ridiculous drum parts, and so I couldn’t 100% the drum parts or in this case the guitar part (I just cant hit those trills). Instead, I just do the best I can on them.
To All That Remains or the people selecting the top 10 videos, my contact info is either send this youtube profile a message, or email me at shane.conley.08@cnu.edu
Let me also add that I play guitar in real life, as well as drums, and have done some vocal work.
This video was edited using Sony Vegas 8.0 software, and recorded using One Touch Video recorder.

What is good recording software for a punk band with a budget of 100 to 200 dollars?
My band needs some good recording software that records vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and we need like at least 8 tracks. We are a punk band so we need software that works with us in that genre.
Try Audacity - it's free.
One Man Band - Boston - Foreplay / Long Time

*PLEASE READ BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS*
-High quality version = sex
-All instuments are on expert
-I just recorded myself playing 4 times and spliced it together into one video using Sony Vegas editing software
-The runs shown on the screens are NOT the same runs as the clips of me in the room…this is why drum fills, star power, etc. may not match up perfectly
-I play “Foreplay” with the drums on lefty flip so the quick hits are on green so I can hit them with my quicker right hand, I then switch it back to regular durng the break, this is why the drums look a little messed up because I had to edit out when I switched it back to keep the drums synched with the rest of the song
-The reason that vocals doesn’t do the percussion hits during “Foreplay” is because the single player vocals starts with “Long Time”

There are parts in this song where, since harmonix hasn’t released a double bass mod, I use 2 feet on one pedal. There is only one pedal, and if you want to see how its done go SSBlind73’s page for a tutorial.

Me and my cousin want to start a techno/industrial band. What software and things do you recommend?
We are a tad bit unintelligent haha so software that is not extremely hard to figure out would be wonderful.
Inexpensive would be good.
I suggest getting the REAPER DAW. It’s much cheaper than other DAWs ($50 for noncommercial license) and it can produce the same quality of sound as most strictly professional DAWs. Not to mention, it has a nice manual that explains everything,

Rock Band 2 Review
December 22, 2008 by seandell · 25 Comments
Rock Band 2 is an upcoming music video game being developed by Harmonix Music Systems, as the sequel to Rock Band. The game software will be released in North America for the Xbox 360 on September 14, 2008, with individual instrument peripherals also available at this date.[5], while the software and hardware bundle will be available on October 19, 2008.[6] Versions of the game for the Wii, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2 platforms will be released later in the year.
Rock Band 2 allows players to perform in virtual bands by providing up to four players with the ability to play three different peripherals modeled after music instruments (a guitar peripheral for lead guitar and bass guitar gameplay, a drum peripheral, and a microphone). These peripherals are used to simulate the playing of rock music by hitting scrolling notes on-screen. In addition to the 84 songs included on the game disc and 20 free downloadable songs, hundreds of additional downloadable songs are being released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions; all of these songs, existing and future, are compatible with all Rock Band titles. Rock Band 2 will feature improved drum and guitar controllers, while supporting older controllers, as well. New features include a “Drum Trainer” mode, a “Battle of the Bands” mode, online capabilities for “World Tour” mode, and merchandising opportunities for the players’ virtual bands.
