A Little About Us.
Hello and welcome to My Friend Builder software. My name is Sean Dell and as the CEO of My Friend Builder software, I have many jobs. Much of my experience and expertise comes from working in the restaurant, bar, and nightclub for the last 24 years. Starting out in 1982, I started as a cook, through the years I have worked as a server, bartender, DJ, manager, marketing director, to now owning my own bar.
My success came from being the main person to bring business through the door for every one of my bosses. Then I realized that I should be doing this for myself, instead of making other people money. This realization prompted a friend and I to open our own bar in 1999. This bar had been closed down for quite a while; we turned it into one of the most successful bars in the area.
Was it easy? Of course not, we did everything we could to build this success from putting flyers on cars parked within our competitors parking lots to faxing, emailing, and even knocking on the doors of our neighbors.
Things would have been a whole lot easier had I discovered the massive ease and potential of the phenomenon known as MySpace. I discovered it in January of 2006, thanks to our customers, as well as the bands that played in our bar. They told me just how awesome it was. So one night after hearing about it, I did not get home until about 3:00 in the morning, and I stayed up until 6:00 am just checking it out. If my wife had not walked in and told me I should go to bed, I would have stayed on even later.
After researching MySpace and looking through all the available options, I realized that any person rather a musician, band, nightclub, bar, restaurant, clothing distributor, or cell phone shop, could profit from setting up their own MySpace profile. Even a person just wanting to meet new people and make new friends could benefit from MySpace. Anyone, anywhere, could make use of this awesome phenomenon.
Well, of course, I had to test it out. I created my own profile, and then went looking at some other people’s profile, adding them to my own friends list. In no time at all, I was averaging about five to ten new friends daily. Of course, my marketing experience was telling me there just had to be a better way to do this. I searched around the Internet and found what are called “bots”. These bots were supposedly created to allow you to automatically add new people to your friends list.
However, what I found was that they only worked about 10% of the time. Not my idea of a great product really, after all, it typically took more time than it would for a person to manually add these friends.
After all that research and hassle, I decided there was a need for a more reliable product. The result is My Friend Builder. This product was created between an awesome coder and myself. We are true testimony that this product works, because we use it ourselves in building our MySpace friends list.
